Your schedule deserves better
The question isn’t whether Apple or Google will do something harmful with your calendar data. They probably won’t. The question is simpler: why should your personal schedule live on someone else’s server at all?
Your calendar is intimate. It reflects how you spend your days, who matters to you, and what you’re working toward. That picture is worth keeping somewhere you control.
ReMuse Calendar is a native iPhone, iPad, and Mac app that connects directly to your Nextcloud server using the open CalDAV standard. Your events are stored on hardware you own or rent. There is no intermediary. There is no profile being built from your schedule.
It is also free.
Five ways to see your time
Agenda, Month, Week, Day, and Year views. Every view is built from scratch in SwiftUI — a real native Mac app, not a Catalyst port, and a real iPhone app, not a scaled-up iPad layout. The layout, the gestures, the transitions — all native, all intentional.
Events without compromise
Create timed events, all-day events, and recurring events. Set reminders. Add locations, notes, and URLs. Color-code events independently of their calendar. The full RFC 5545 iCalendar format is supported — every recurring pattern, every alarm type, every status.
Invitations and scheduling
Accept, decline, or propose a new time for meeting invitations. Check attendee availability with free/busy queries before scheduling. Respond to invitations directly within the app.
Tasks alongside your calendar
If you use Nextcloud Tasks, your to-dos appear in a dedicated Tasks tab alongside your events. Create, complete, and manage tasks without leaving the calendar.
Widgets for every screen
Five widget types: Upcoming Events, Today’s Agenda, Mini Calendar, Next Event Countdown, and three Lock Screen widget styles. On iPhone and iPad, your schedule is on your Home Screen and Lock Screen. On Mac, a menu bar item keeps today’s events one click away — always in view, always up to date.
Siri, Shortcuts, and Focus Filters
Create events with your voice. Find events by date or keyword. Build multi-step Shortcuts automations. Set up Focus Filters so your personal calendar steps aside during focused work.
Always in sync
The app syncs in the background so your schedule is current when you pick up your phone. Sync frequency is configurable. Created an event on the plane? It queues locally and uploads the moment you reconnect. If the same event is edited in two places at once, the app detects the conflict and gives you a clear choice: keep yours, keep the server’s, or open both side by side.
Our commitment
No telemetry. The app collects no usage data, crash logs, analytics, or any other signal. We have no idea how many events you have or when you last opened the app.
No third-party code. There are no third-party SDKs, analytics libraries, or advertising frameworks in the binary. Every line of code — including the CalDAV and iCalendar implementations — was written by us.
No push notifications from our servers. Event reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device. No push token is ever registered. No external server is involved in delivering your alarms.
No subscription. ReMuse Calendar is free. There is no premium tier, no in-app purchase, no paywall. We make our living on ReMuse Photos and ReMuse Notebook. The calendar is free because we want you to experience what ReMuse software feels like before you spend a dime.
